Swimming with Dolphins in Egypt: A Memorable Experience for the Whole Family

Egypt is one of those places that stays with you long after you leave. It’s a land full of history, color, and warmth — both from the sun and the people. We spent a family vacation there in November 2021, staying in a lovely hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, right on the shore of the Red Sea. The water was crystal clear, the sand soft, and the coral reefs just a short swim away — like stepping into another world.

Me and my new friends ;)

One of the best days of our trip was when we went to swim with dolphins. It felt almost surreal — being in the water with these intelligent, playful creatures who seemed genuinely curious about us. They swam around, splashed, and even posed for photos, as if they enjoyed the attention.

Kiss you, dolphin!

I’ll never forget the moment I stood between two dolphins for a picture. My wife got a quick kiss from one of them — we caught that moment on camera, and it’s still one of our favorite family photos. Our son Lev was over the moon. He couldn’t stop laughing as the dolphins splashed around him, and seeing that pure excitement on his face made the whole experience even more special.

Here is a photo of my wife, my son, and two intelligent gentlemen ;)

The photos from that day are among our most treasured souvenirs. Every time we look at them, we remember the warmth of the Egyptian sun, the sound of the sea, and the joy of being together — far from everything, but exactly where we wanted to be.

If you ever visit Egypt, make sure to include a dolphin encounter in your plans. It’s one of those rare experiences that feels just as magical as it sounds.
